Precious Pieces exhibit

Inspired by a broken heart, I created 12 images using photo emulsion transfers, watercolor sketches, and poetry.  I manipulated each surface using multiple layers, toying with the idea of what is or is not exposed.  The images used are of guns, love, and liberation.  The process itself involved pressing and ripping, and occasionally adding a voice to the anguish.

The Precious Pieces exhibit features artwork done by students and alumni of the Caldwell College Art Therapy department.  the show will be up from April 15th until August 2, 2013.  each 6" x 6" square will sell for $20, with a $10 donation designated to the art therapy program and a $10 reimbursement to the artist.

Precious Pieces will be on exhibit in the Werner Hall Gallery, 3rd floor, at Caldwell College, 120 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ

the plastic club's annual new members' show

i have three pieces hanging up in this show which will be running from january 8th until the 27th at The Plastic Club, 247 South Camac St, philadelphia, PA 1910.  one woodblock, one intaglio print and one aquatint.  the show features the newest members of the plastic club who joined in 2011.
